Setting Up the Topaz Signature Pad
Please note: I will be using the Topaz System Inc. model T-LBK460-HSB-R signature pad for this guide. Other signature pads in the range are available and may need to be set up differently from this guide.
To begin, navigate to the Topaz website and download the appropriate software for your specific model. SigPlus BSB Electronic Signature Software. Once on the website, locate the SigPlus Software download and follow the provided installation guide on the web page. Save the downloaded file to your desktop for easy access.

After the download is complete, launch the installer. Click Next, accept the license agreement, and select Complete Install.
In the next window, ensure you choose the correct device model—in this case, T-LBK460 —and leave the connection type on the default HSB/HSX setting. (Your device may be different and have a COM port setting.)
Proceed by clicking Next, then Install. When prompted, confirm the installation and wait for the process to finish.
Once the software is installed, connect your Topaz Signature Pad to a USB port on your PC or laptop. After a brief moment, you may hear a system sound or see your cursor change to an hourglass as the device initialises.
To verify the pad is working, open the Demo OCX 32 software.
Once the software loads, click the Start button. Now try to sign the pad. If text appears on screen when signing, the test is successful, and you can close the software.
Next, return to the Topaz website to download SigWeb, which facilitates communication between the pad and web-based applications like Merchanter via the internet browser. Navigate to the SDKs and Demos section.
Select the SigWeb Browser SDK, and save the instalation file to your desktop. SigWeb Browser Electronic Signature SDK - Topaz Systems.
Minimise your browser, locate the downloaded SigWeb installer, and double-click to run it.
When prompted, allow the software to make changes to your device.
Follow the installation steps: click Next, accept the licence agreement, confirm the device model (T-LBK460) and connection type the same as the step above, then proceed with the installation. Once complete, click Finish.
Once the hardware and drivers are set up, the next step is to configure the signature capture functionality in Merchanter and test the pad.
Configuring Signature Capture in Merchanter
To enable signature capture, please speak to Ten 25 support, as only the Ten 25 administrator can switch on this feature.
After the configuration is complete, T25 support will need to amend any existing document scenarios to allow the system to capture signatures or create new ones as required. Let the team know when and where you would like the capture to happen.
When a customer collects an order is probably the most popular trigger for the signature.
We can incorporate the signature field into your document design. Simply notify our support team with details of where the signature should appear, and we’ll update the relevant document template accordingly.
