Merchanter Price Tools

Merchanter has a series of pricing tools that can be used in combination to sell at the best price for any customer/product combination

  • Price Table - A Price Table is based on “customer bands”, quantity breaks or a combination of customer bands and quantity breaks.  They use a formula or fixed prices to calculate a price depending on which band a customer belongs to, or quantity they are ordering
  • Price Structure - Price Tables are added to a Price Structure.  The Price structure can hold one or many price tables depending on how advanced the pricing needs to be for supply type and/or depot pricing:
    • Simple - A single Price Table within the Price Structure
    • By Supply Type - Add different Price Tables for whether an order will be Collected or Delivered
    • By Depot - Add different Price Table for each Depot of the business
    • By Depot and Supply Type - Add Price Tables for every Depot and Supply Type combination
  • Advanced Customer Bands - A customer will have a default Customer Band.  This can be overridden by a different customer band for different Categories, Groups and/or Sub Groups of products
  • Advanced Customer Discounts - A customer can have specific percentage discounts for different Categories, Groups and/or Sub Groups of products
  • Manual Price Agreement - a Manual Price Agreement is a price for a single customer and product combination.  Manual Price Agreements can be created from Orders/Quotes or Price Lists.  There are three types of manual price agreement calculation:
    • Price - Setting a specific price for the customer and product combination
    • Discount - Setting a percentage discount that the customer is entitled to for that product
    • Margin - setting a margin percentage to achieve when selling this product to this customer
  • Price List - Within a customer record a Price List can be created.  This can be a combination of automatically calculated prices, using the tools above, and Manual Price Agreements.
