Price Check feature

Merchanter’s price check feature allows you to quickly view customer-specific pricing and create special agreements when needed. Here’s how to use it effectively.

To begin, navigate to the New button in the menu and select Price Check. From here, choose the customer you wish to check—for example, Red Line Europe—and then search for the product, such as Acme Spotted Paint. The system will display the current price for that customer, including any applicable discounts. In this case, the price of £9.50 per unit suggests the customer falls under the 5% discount band.

If you need to check prices for a different customer or product, simply update your selection. The search function allows you to type directly or select from a list of recently used products, making the process faster. Once you’ve confirmed the price, you can either create a new order or set up a special price agreement.

For customers negotiating a different rate, use the Create Price Agreement button to define a custom price within a specific date range. Once saved, this agreement will apply to future orders for the date range.

Price Check from a customer or product

Alternatively, you can check prices directly from the product or customer record.

In the product screen, click the green button in the top-right corner and select Customer Price Check, then choose the relevant customer.

Similarly, from the customer record, use the Product Price Check option to verify pricing for specific items.

For bulk price checks, consider creating a quote instead of checking each price individually. The system will automatically apply the customer’s pricing structure as you build the quote, saving time and ensuring accuracy.

This feature ensures you always have the most up-to-date pricing information, helping you manage customer agreements efficiently.
